Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away there was a little boy named Tom, Tom and his dad went to a Hot-dog eating competition. The winner and his partner would get to do their victory dance on the royal stage. Tom and his dad really wanted to win so they entered in the competition, was at night so Tom and his dad went back home to change into their new hot-dog T-shirts.  

When Tom and his dad got changed into their new hot-dog T-shirts they went back to the competition. Everyone who entered in the competition got HUGE!! bowls of hot-dogs The person who finished their bowl of hot-dogs would win. "Ready Set GO!!" everyone started eating their hot-dogs. Tom and his dad were eating their hot dogs as fast as they could they stuffed their mouth with so much hot-dogs. They were nearly finished but this other person was gonna beat them so Tom cheated.


He hid some of his hot-dogs under the table and stuffed some in his t-shirt then he yelled "Were Finished We Win" so they went to the royal stage and started doing their victory dance. But someone found hot-dogs under his table and some fell out of his t-shirt. "He cheated" yelled everyone, Tom got
sad and started to do a sad dance the sad dance was dancing like his DAD.

Swimming Lessons

This term team 4 went swimming at the Glen innes pools. We go on every Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays but not Fridays.

Everyday we leave our swimming togs here on a chair but one Fridays we take them home.

What I learned about being safe in the water I learned not to jump. in the water you have to sit on the side of the pool. and then turn around and put one leg in then you put the other leg in then you sink down. We had to use the life jackets so that we can learn how to be safe in the water and if they were too big then you have to change into a different one.

I learned how to be sensible and safe before you get in the swimming pool and listen to the instructor before you swim otherwise you won’t know what to do. Remember to be careful and not to run.

I felt excited and cold.Next time I will be sensible, careful and listen to the instructor before I do anything else. Do not run in the swimming pool before you will have an accident.

Help!

Once upon a time there were 3 people fishing on each boat. Their names were Cj , Anna and Chris. While they were fishing a big wave was coming but they didn’t see or hear it because they were too far away. The wave was coming closer and closer then WHOOSH! They all shouted for help but no one could hear them, the wave pushed them to another island that they didn't know  it was a small island.

They had no food to eat so Chris checked his big bag And there was nothing but fishing materials so he had an idea he gave Cj and Anna each Fishing stick then they went into the water and started fishing again. When they were finish it started to get darker so they needed to find some sticks. To do the fire they split up and then went into the forest a while. Later they got back they made the fire then they got a big stick and they the top bit in the fire then they saw.

A big white light flickering so then they started jumping and waving their sticks up high. Then they went in the water shouting for the boat to come then the boat started moving fast and faster and the boat came closer then they got in.

This is a Special bird its name is Kea. Kea are parrots they live in big mountains and they play with the snow. Kea’s like to use their toes and beaks to hold things and climb trees.

Kea’s have four toes on each foot. Two toes point forwards, and two toes point backwards. Kea’s are clever and curious they like to explore and try new things.

But Kea can be a big mistake because they can rip tents and damage cars.

Sometimes kea hang upside down to look in windows. Endemic  Endemic means that these birds can only bean found here in New Zealand because all of the other countries are dangerous for them.

Team 4 Camp

Last week Wednesday team 4 had the school Camp.

On the field we saw loads of tents and one big tent that was in front of  the tents that we were going to sleep in when we got there we had to line up in the hall and Mr Somerville had to call the team's up and tell them where to go.

Camp is when the year 6 and 5 go Camp on the school field and the teachers pick which team we get into and once we get into our group we learn a dance that we have to do for our dance night.We started Camp Last week wednesday we started Camp because Mr Burt said that at all schools they don’t have camp so he said that he want’s to make it more fun and not make it boring. The activities we did was Get lost, killer zone and last but not least the bike track  

My favorite part was when we went to the swimming pool because we did all kind of cool stuff.

Like we go sideways or we just get our boards and swim with it.

Thank you to all the parents and teachers that helped for the school Camp because if they weren't here then we won't be able to have Camp.  

What I learned about is that you  have to always be kind and be there in the right time right place and right attitude.
